3dcolab creative collaboration in immersive online 3d environments

Virtual Reality

Virtual Reality (VR), sometimes referred to as immersive multimedia, is a computer-generated environment that can simulate physical presence in places in the real world or an imagined one.

VR allows you to interact in real time with other users to perform joint tasks in a simulated environment.

The use of an Avatar to represent the user increases the sense of presence that is lacking in other technologies like web-meetings or video chatrooms.

This sense of presence translates into a richer experience for the user and aids retention in learning environments.

Our main work environment is the open source OpenSimulator server platform - projects made in OpenSimulator can be exported to a variety of other 3d platforms for deployment on multiple devices.
